What is the size of the stock hitch receiver? Going to pick up a Polaris RZR on Thursday with a trailer.

2014 Tundra Limited

and how much of a drop/rise you need to keep the trailer level

The Tundra hitch is actually just slightly oversize for 2". The pin required for the Tundra hitch is just a little bit longer than normal so check it to make sure that the one you have fits.
Nice, thanks guys

So that the hitch doesn't rust in place in the receiver. Add a couple of spot welds to the hitch to take up the slop if you want it gone.

Someone in the past just added duct tape around the hitch. Add layers until you get the thickness desired.

There is an anti-rattle device for hitches.

As for the lock, you have to use a lock for a class V hitch.

Hmmm, you have a 2014, didn't you get one with your truck? my dealership gave me the one that Toyota sends out with the trucks

I usually use cedar shims to take up the slack...pound them in with a mallet and good to go...no rattle. I have driven across country pulling a heavy trailer and no rattling. That way if I use my hitch in a different receiver, I don't have to fiddle with getting the tape off so it will fit.

BTW: I didn't get a hitch when I got my '14.

Cheers,

Frank
