I put it on about a month before I installed the Bully Dog. I felt a difference in low rpm power. It seemed snappier off idle. I think it was well worth it.
Any time you can get more air into the engine easier, it's going to be an improvement whether you feel it or not.
You can accomplish the same thing for free, with a hole saw and a drill. Downside is it may draw warmer air on hot days, but at least you don't have to worry about hacking your fender.
I hear ya.. But do you see your stock intake hole that goes into your fender? Toyota does that for a good reason... I race also HULZAZZ. Personally I wanna grab air from the coolest location away from the engine compartment ..
I'll be sucking super cool air from a bottle soon, so I think I will be alright, even though I doubt the temp difference is that much once you are rolling.
If you are doing this for MPG, I would think warm air would actually be better, since less fuel would be injected.
