I just picked up a 2011 Platinum last week. I was a little nervous purchasing my first Toyota but so far so good. I added a 3/1 level kit, Firestone airbags and 275/65-20 Load Range E tires.

My truck made 314hp 364tq on a Mustang Dyno.

This is what I will tow in the summer:

And winter:

I hope I will not regret my decision to try something new...

The dyno will show lower HP with lower gears, not sure why it does exactly. The truck will be quicker though.

Those are good numbers for a stock truck especially on a mustang dyno. Factory freak perhaps.

Awesome....I'm assuming you have easy access to a dyno anytime. What would really rock is if you could add power mods one at a time with dyno runs in between.

Intake - Dyno results

Exhaust - Dyno results

Uni Chip - Dyno results

Supercharger - Dyno results

Judging by the toys I see, I have a feeling you'll be adding horsepower soon!

Enjoy it!

boyz and their expensive toyz! Are all of them paid in full or financed up the whazoo?
If financed some but not for years and years, then congrats. If not, look for the repo man? My toys are all paid for, but then again, I am not making big bucks and buy used toys whenever possible especially recreational vehicles that don't hold resale value really well in my opinion when buying new. So far, I haven't gotten burned buying used ATV's, etc. but there will come a time I suppose eventually.

If you want increased high end power and a drop in low end power add an intake...oh and for sound too. I would rather have power on the low end, but that's just me! :D

Thanks all! I do like fast toys but I will not go crazy with my daily driver as to sacrifice durability. Bolt ons are as far as I will go. Right now I am just blown away with the awful fuel economy. 12mpg? 8mpg with an unloaded trailer? Yikes! With diesel prices I was hoping to save a little for daily use and suffer a little when towing. Long distance hauls will be done with the toter anyways but snowmobiling and local race and boating stuff is all I will do with this truck. I really like the truck but hope the gas efficiency improves with some more mileage, I only have 800mi now.

Tint front windows and cai are next on the list.

It should get better. For whatever reason mine got about the same new, but its improved to 15mpg highway now. That's probably as good as it gets. I lost 1mpg when I changed to 33" E rated tires also.

Nice looking Platinum and toys! As far as adding a CAI, I would add a drop in filter and remove the charcoal filter from the stock box. I just removed a CAI last week and noticed an immediate improvement in low end power. Also noticed a 1 mpg increase in fuel economy, which I'm guessing has to do with the trans not having to downshift as much. Just my $.02, to each their own.
