I'm in the process of installing a Cb radio underneath the drivers seat, and I can't figure out how to run wires back through the fire wall in order to connect to the battery. Any Ideas?

its a little easier if you take off the plastic kick panel, then look up and left of the pedals.you'll see a rubber grommet with a harness already coming through it.from the engine bay, there's actually a little nipple you can cut some off of to run the wires through.

...

Or,,, since you are installing it under the driver's seat,,, you could just tap into the 12V supply that is most likely already run underneath your console/center seat for the 12V outlet. I can't quite remember if this outlet is switched or not??? I'm thinking it is,, but I can't remember for certain.

Toyota did the hard work,,, just take advantage of it,,, you'll even already be fuse protected and you'll only have to run about 16" of wire.

Just a thought,,, but I don't know how your truck is equipped,,, so I may be way off.

Thanks guys for all the help. I ended up wiring to the 12v power outlet in the center console. It works great. I had to make a y harness in order to split the power from the outlet to to go to the radio as well. it works great though.

If anyone has ideas as to what type of amp or horn speaker i should use, please. I need ideas.

Thanks so much for all the help so far.
