Can you help this guy out?

 

Is it just the muffler seam that is failing?


If that is it, I have a stock muffler that I cut out of my 2010 that WILL fit, and you can have it. Will need to be welded in though. And I live in Michigan. About an hour north of Detroit.


Also, if you keep an eye out, depending on where you are at exactly as Ontario is Huyooge, you might be able to find a take off for wayy less than what you are looking at paying.

I have seen a bunch get posted for free over the years with no takers.

 

Thanks Powertechn2. I am an hour west of Toronto. Just started looking at Kijiji for something that someone has taken off and saw a guy for a 2017 for $90. Thought I might have gotten lucky. Will take your advice and keep looking. The truck is not too loud yet, just getting a deeper sound like a dual exhaust. My wife actually said she liked the sound so I a good to wait until I find something.

07-09 has a different driver side mid pipe from 2010+

It you get a 2010+ I can make an adapter to make the whole thing a bolt on.

Or have a shop make a piece to fill the gap.

Either way don’t pay that dealer cost. Run it like it is until you find something used

 

Thanks dirtydeeds. That was what I was afraid of. Knew the great bunch here would have the answer. Will keep looking. Maybe even post on kijiji what I am looking for. Never know but someone close might have a nearly new set sitting the garage for 8 or 9 years that just wants to get rid of it.

If you end up having no luck, just pm me. Again, it is just the muffler, the pipes to the front and rear were cut off as I used those to build a system off of.

So your pipes would have to be cut and welded on, but it would work. As DD said, the front connecting pipes were different, and those are gone.

Well just had this done today. I found an exhaust from a 2017 CrewMax for $200 and had the local Midas muffler shop install for $160. Happy camper now. It was also a perfect fit. Thanks for all the input from everyone.
