Yes I am serious. Out of neccessity (why else) I need to construct a homebuilt topper until I can get the cash for a fiberglass unit. I have searched to no end and there are two kinds that pop up: 1) elaborately built and (uugghh) stained by a woodworking pro or 2) toppers that look like they were made by Jed Clampett.
I would like to use wood sides, possibly metal frame and somehow keep it waterproof. And yes, painted to mach so its not such an eye sore, somewhat presentable. Any thoughts in construction?
