hey I got codes p0761 for shift soleniod C stuck and code p2714 pressure control soleniod D stuck. Has anyone has this. Can i just replace the soleniod or what? Thanks

I wouldn't go changing solenoids just yet. If code P2714 was set 1st you may just have low fluid level. If the fluid level is ok Toyota has a software update that addresses this concern. The software update will need to be performed before any further diagnosis can continue if needed. What year is your truck?

The TSB that addresses this concern includes 2010 Tundras also. I don't know which software version you are running but one would have hoped that they checked for this 1st. I had a 2008 Lexus IS350 in the shop about a month ago that was setting these same codes along with having actual shifting problems. Lexus' fix was to replace the trans, I did a full trans flush and the owner says the car has never shifted better and no more codes are being set. Years ago dealers used to be the place to go to get trans problems fixed but all they do anymore is replace them if they don't have a clue.

Couldn't the OP bring the tranny up to temp and check the level or add a quart and let it drain off to see if the code resets? Utilizing the proper fill procedure of course.
Was it a power flush? I really don't like power flushes as it can gunk up solenoids and valve body...

So why would the supercharger on the truck make the tsb not apply....it is a Toyota part and tune and if the tranny has the same code as the non supercharged ECM then it should still be covered right? Unless the code in the ECM in question was changed for the supercharger I would say it's an option that should be addressed...

So if i pop the pan off this is what i should see right? Now im not familiar with what the shifting solenoids look like are where they are located. Are they shown in this pic? Anyone know how hard it would be to change the solenoid C and pressure control shift solenoid D if it came to that? Thanks

I don't have time right now to cross reference the part numbers but here is the diagram for the valve body with part numbers.

Tranny info: page 20 has the solenoid diagram and towards the end has some trouble shooting procedures..

Hell yea! That helps me visualize how everything is in there big time! Thanks

i have a 09 4X4 crewmax that is supercharged also. i had the exact issue you did. Have you checked your fluid yet?

Mine was burnt and they wanted to throw a whole new tranny in there parts and labor was around ($7,000) i said screw that. took the truck home ordered a valvebody and shift kit (becuase the supercharger was hurting my clutches) and installed the shift kit put new fluid in and my trucks been running fine sice. Cost me about $500

No i havent had a chance to check yet. I had brought it to the dealer and yea they quoted me like $6k for a tranny and i assumed that they checked the fluid level but you know how that is. i havent checked it since i got my truck back tho. Thats good to hear because i was just thinking about maybe doing a shift kit since my warranty is gone now anyway. Where can i get a shift kit from and what all comes with it? So you ordered a new valve body separate from the shift kit?

You can call Chris at (502)523-9062. Although he is banned here he sells the shift kit with new aluminum accumulators and rods to limit the spring compression. I think it was around $350? He is busy so you have to get on him to ship it out but he will come through. I have called him several times to discuss building up the power train and engine.

Keith, aka DirtyDeeds, believes you can turn up the line pressure and install washers in the accumulators to limit the springs. Cost is minimal and some WS grade ATF. Read post #174 .

actually only turning up the line preassure would work too. And chris is where i got my Upgraged "valvebody" In reality all he sent me was some aluminum pieces that were not even clearly marked (sharpie was work off) and no instrcutions, i did turn up the line pressure and that may indeed have solved my issue. I was telling you what route i took and it worked for me. but dirty deeds knows his stuff the washers seem like brilliant idea actually.

The aluminum accumulators are the same size as the plastic ones and the rods match in size to the springs associated with the accumulators. The rods limit the springs preventing the travel resulting in the firmer shifts adding to the longevity of the tranny. Sucks you didn't get the directions but many on the forum would have helped you out.

cajun warrior any updates on your issue? I wound up blowing my motor so i ended up throwing a engine and trans from a 2011, after 10k miles i know have the same two codes, also my truck wont shift past 3rd gear (didnt have this issue on my old trans when i had a similar issue)

#34 ·
When you first drive on the road and it shifts from 3rd to 4th, right before its about to shift out of 3rd let off of the gas and it should shift into 4th gear. Or atleast that is what i have to do with mine. But once mine shifts in 4th im all good until i turn my truck off and then it restarts again and i have to do it again just for the first time that it shifts into 4th again

its a 5.7 supercharged 4wd towing package
hey guys i know you have all supercharger like me but what size of tire are you running ?? i have ordered the hyper tech speedo caliber because some say after that the truck shift smoother if like me you run big tire its maybe our troubleshoot because the trans shift with the speedo speed ... some say not some say yes i will give you news back and also i have ordered the transgo shift kit, i dont want to change another transmission .. i already replaced 3 motor and 1 tranny + 1 differantial ...

same 2 code here with techstream but no check engine light p0761 and p2714 on my 2010 supercharged 4x4 .... is no the original engine and the transmision was changed on toyota warranty like 70 000km ago ... i clear the code and cross my finger on it

toyota stop selling the supercharger because they know the engine and transmision are not able to hold that thing ... so many blown engine at this time ...

Still have the same code ... the fluid is at right level, i have the last tune from trd and nothing changes after hypertech speedo calibrator and NOW the tranny slip in reverse ... i will try the shift kit on rockauto the zipkit or transgo with the valve body hd and cross my finger
