This has happened to other tundra's where the torque converter may not be locking up. Toyota should service this. So your running the trail tune, stock fuel map, with the Supercharger? How's that running?

During a solenoid valve SLU malfunction, the current to the solenoid valve is stopped. This stops lock-up control and flex lock-up control, and fuel economy decreases.

well when it was shifting say below 60ish and going into 2nd gear it was unreal pretty much instant shifting and pins you to the seat I also have the urd pulley as well so im at 10psi too but man it helped the truck a lot with the tuner as far as 90hp I highly doubt it my cheeks seem to think otherwise but IMO worth the money for monitoring etc etc but yea im getting the weird noises too from the tranny? im assuming but its like a whistling noise kinda like what my tractor makes when you max out the backhoe bucket on line pressure I did read on another post from SRW tundra or something like that and his story is exactly the same as mine and he stated that he had to have a tranny put in... mine is going to yota on wed to see what they say about it hopefully I can get all new .. but ill leave the shifting tune off till I get the shift kit(should of known better) but live and learn I guess ... is there any way of checking to see that my factory files were for sure loaded?? I took the tuner off yesterday and am going to take it out of the truck in the morning after work but would damn sure hate to take it over there saying its bullydog lmao. thanks for the help man I really appreciate it all put the link to the other convo on here too thanks.

took the truck in today the tech stated that the truck needed a transmission that it was indeed hanging in third gear and that it was very rare that it happened and tried a reflash to be sure that didn't help it in any way so they done the reflash of course that did not help so they asked that I leave it there to make sure there wasn't any other troubleshooting or tasks Toyota would want them to do so hopefully its new transmission time for me.

 

dealership is replacing the transmission in the truck but the tech now is stating that the truck is pulling a lean code on the vehicle now with a check enginge light im curious if anyone else has had this new reflash of the ecu and having any problems at all the truck does have the urd pulley but wouldn't imagine it would have anything to do with a lean issue or am I dead wrong here .. I just don't want to get to deep with this and something not be covered it would be my ass

 

I'd take the new trans and keep the bully dog the hell of it. Haven't heard many good things in the long run.

The problems were there before the BD as well as other issues from procedures not followed. I've been running it since it came out with no issues and I use my truck everyday.

 

sounds like you had the same shifting issue i got but toyota didint cover a new tranny cause of my "offroad mods" :/

 

Yeah I'm probably not putting it back on but I'm curious if the pulley is causing the lean issue or not it's codes p0174 and p0172 left and right bank lean tech did state that the codes were on it prior to re flash but engine light was not on however

thanks not sure what I had put up there though but thanks for noticing it was not the correct one ..ahh I see lmao was tax info anyone is welcome to pay that if theyd like im down with that no problem...lol thanks a lot for removing. ill try to upload the right one now..the dealership stated that the lean issue had been happening since like day one of the truck what the hell??? is there any way I can get this info about my truck that the dealership has access to?? he acted like there was a damn stack of info 2 inches thick about this same issue and never been fixed I have talked to both previous owners one of which used to be on here and neither have stated the MIL light coming on and it hasn't with this particular code to me either, but was on the truck hidden somehow. I have went as far as calling techstream themselves and they don't even have this info the only ones with access to it would be the damn dealership so hopefully someone here has a buddy or a friend at a dealership that can print me some pages off im going to have to pay to fix the lean issue that's been present for almost 5 years now wtf... also according to Toyotas online service history this will be the third tranny in the truck original was replaced at 8k miles according to service history..!!!!

 

3rd tranny!? That sounds like they haven't solved anything their just throwing parts at it until it's out of warranty. I was going to suggest the online Toyota service history for some info but it sounds like you already checked there.
