Love the color. Fake noise?

 

Toyota pumps fake v8 noise thru the JBL speakers on limited and up trims. If you have SR5 model it doesn't have it

 

For real?? Wow.

 

Yeah dude...it's pretty lame.

 

Yep they seem to copy Ford who first did this when the raptor switched to a v6

 

My 2022 1794 had the fake noise (ASD) and now my 2023 SR5 doesnt and I actually miss the sound lol.

 

Truck looks great - but I absolutely hate what Toyota did with the grills of most all its models. The dang things look like a gaping whale sharks mouth in feeding mode! Capital U - Ugly...

 

Agreed . The previous grill was big enough.
I do not care for the new gen , front , side view or the rear.
One good change was the rear coil suspension , it was the only real way to stop bed hop on expressway joints unfortunately .
Sticking with my 2018 TRD @ 97k it still performs 99% new.

I disagree on the coil spring rear suspension. All the auto makers are going that way. What they forget is, we’re talking about a work vehicle not a Cadillac with a truck bed on it. The leaf spring is the best way for a work vehicle, the coil spring suspension have way too many torque arm bushings to fail. Plus sway bar bushings as well. The anti sway bars take away traction off road, and wet and slippery roads. All the anti sway bars help keep the body from rolling around turns. In turn increaseds the G forces around turns and tightens the suspension to the body. Less lateral movement, less traction. The pickup truck needs to remain a pickup truck. Not some glorified Cadillac with a pickup body on it. The best thing about todays pickups is the four doors. The leaf spring suspension has four bushings, one bushing at each end of the leaf spring. That’s my personal opinion

 

I disagree on the coil spring rear suspension.

The simplicity, ruggedness, and low cost of a solid axle is very hard to beat.
It's not like we're going to road race in our trucks
Offhand IDK, but aren't the all 3/4 and 1-ton pickups from GM & Ford still sticking with solid rear axles?

 

Yeah, it weird. There’s a fake noise that’s put in place. If I remember correctly it a noise of air and an engine noise. When I heard that, I was like what? Folks were saying this new truck is noisy. I’m sure the gentleman knew where to go to disable it.

 

Whatever they did in the rear end actually made bed hop worse on highway.
