Everyday somebody asks "how can I run 35's" ... hopefully this thread will answer all their questions!

Please post:

Level kit (height, brand)

Tire size and brand

Wheel specs (offset and width too)

Mods to truck to alleviate any rubbing

Post pics from as many angles as possible!

Free free to post your thoughts on your particular setup. Is it perfect? Would you do it again? What would you change?

* the other thread is a mess so please keep the off topic comments and questions to a minimum.

Not perfect, it is a spacer lift, but it got me what I want for the present. Once I settle in to owning the truck, I will look at other lifts and setups.

Hi Guys,

I have my BMF BATL wheels in hand and I am going to order tires in the next day or two. I have the following wheel size

20X9 with +12mm offset

I am looking at 35 x 12.5 x 20's
and 295/65-20's

Which is the smarter route to go with my offset?

Go with the 35 x 12.50. You will have to trim either way I imagine.

I have the same 2.5" leveling kit with 35's. $400 in labor is what it took to get them on. Cutting the frame horns. Trimming the bumper. Etc...

Has anyone seen a gen 3 with a 2.5" leveling kit running 35/12.50/20? That's what I really want but from what I can tell on here, unlike Yellowbird, I can't do the same mods on a gen 3 to get rid of the rubbing that I'm sure will be inevitable.

The more I read about the offset and spacers the less I understand it. The wheels I'm interested in are the XD Monster and come in a wife range of offsets. Which one would be the best for me?

I just put a 305/65/18 BFG AT KO2 on my 3/1 2011 Rock Warrior Crewmax. Pulled 295/70/18 Nitto Mud Grapplers off and I was nervous that the new tires would be too big...WRONG! I'm somewhat disappointed in the smaller tire now...but a 315/##/18 wasn't available in that size and I worried if they'd be too big. My install guys for the leveling kit told me I couldn't do 35s, but it looks like I could...

Finally got some new meat & rims under my truck!

35" Toyo Open Country RT stacked on XD "Heist" C/Cs 20"x9" +30 offset.

NO rubbing!

Mods: Only removed both the front wheel mud flaps and inner fender pushed up. NO skid plate mod needed.

If any is wondering, OME 612 complete kit, Coach Shims, AAL, Firestone air bags.

>:D

Update: Was able to find some nice 18x9 method mesh wheels on CL. Custom +25 offset. The guy who I bough them off of bought em custom from method but they messed up and gave him a machined lip rather than a matte black lip like he ordered so they just let him keep the wheels. $650
Now time for some 35s! :D

I need help to see if these tires will fit! I plan on running fiberglass fenders and most likely a 1.0-1.5 inch wheel spacer if needed.
I honestly dont know much about tires and fitment, or what i have to do to make them fit, but i plan on doing a basic MT setup, coils, UCA & fiberglass so i know the tires will fit then, the only problem is, is that i cant afford all of them at once and my tires tread is really low and i need to get new tires soon.

I have a 3 inch lift on 08 stock TRD model w/ bilsteins
(not sure what brand the spacer is, bought it from the dealership like this)
Tires im currently running are the BFG 275 70r18 (org 33.2 inch worn down to 31.25)

Rear i have a 1 inch block (currently sits higher then the front. :/ )

if i run the 35s, will i be able to remove the block in the rear?

Tires i plan to run: Falken Wildpeak 35x12.50 r 17
Wheels i plan to run: Method double standard 17x8.5 0 offset

Since the stock rims are 8 inches wide and +60 offset, that means that the 0 offset wheels would stick out an extra 2.86 inches, correct? and would that make the tires rub more or less? Would it be better to get a rim with more offset?

Additional info:
Up to the middle of the front fenders, with 31.25 inch tires, the distance from the ground is 38.5 inches. about a 7.25 inch gap between the tire and the fenders. Stock height of fender well is 36.5 w/ 32.1 inch tires.

On the rear, to the middle of the fender the distance from the ground is 41 inches, about a 9.75 inch gap between the rear fenders and the tires. Stock height being 39.375 inches with the 32.1 inch tire

(Stock heights according toToyota Tundra Lift Height Visual Guide | Tundra Headquarters Blog

I really appreciate any help, thanks guys!

Modification: remove all mud flaps, cut inner plastic fender (rubbing when steering is maxed).
I'd post pics but every time I try my iPad kicks me out of the site!!! I have a couple pics posted in the Garage section if you want to take a look.

Looks awesome RRC. I "think" my 20" TSS wheels are the same offset as yours so Im going look into getting the same size tires
