I have a 2011 TRD Crewmax that is black/black. I am trying to figure out which type wheels to get to go with bigger tires and a leveling kit. Should it be black or chrome??? I like the look of both and can't make up my mind. Please give me some ideas and some pix if you have any but not a big deal on pix...
Thanks

For black I would go chrome they contrast each other well. But a murdered out tundra is also nice just not everyone's cup of tea. I have a super white and am going with black because it's better contrast than the chrome. Either way you cant go wrong! Congrats on the new truck enjoy,
Sean

Oh I forgot there is always chrome wheels with black inserts!

I was in the same shoes you were about a week ago. I bought a 2011 DC Tundra BLACK, and I just can't see spending the money on chrome wheels, 1 it's crazy markup, 2 I'm not a huge chrome fan. I was looking for like silver wheels, even machined, but those are far and few between that fit my tastes. I was sold on matte black wheels, but after seeing KMC XD Hoss's in gloss black, I was sold. It's got faux chrome rivets, so it keeps the wheel looking not too busy I think but not too black either

but your truck, your choice! goto the pics section to see all the different options, that's what I ended up doing

Its a hard decision, but I will say I am a fan of the Black wheels myself... you should checkout alwayslooking black Tundra it may help you out some... The chrome wheels are nice but they are more money and more work to take care of to me.. just my 2 cents worth.... good luck... there are lots of rides on here you can look at to get ideals from..

I'd look into the XD Hoss machined face wheels or the newer XD Addict machined face wheels. They both have some black, but with the machined faces of the wheels the details of the spokes doesn't get lost in all that black. IMHO, all black is getting pretty played out and it does look better on lighter colors like white or silver.

Ultimately it's going to be what you like. But my opinion would be a black wheel that has some machined parts to it. The machined areas will offset the black. Would look really sharp.

I'd say black or black/machined combo. Chrome looks nice but it gets real old polishing those damn things every week. You could always leave them dirty (because a truck should be dirty anyway) but then what would be the point of having chrome. Also, if you bought a 4x4 or even if you go offroad in a 2wd, the crome will scratch and start to look bad anyway.
