Having a Truggy and wife who's preggers I needed a bigger truck. So a few months ago I traded my beloved FJ to a member here. It worked out well for both of us since we had so much invested in our rigs.

This is how I got it.

Since I've owned it other than putting all my gear in it I've really only made two mods: I painted the toyota emblem on the grill red, and I added the window vents. I also had to replace the tires, but I went back with the same trail grapplers.

Our child will be arriving in the next couple of weeks, so the next mod will be a cap. My wife says the dogs need to ride in the bed once the baby is here. I've also got 2 different sets of Anzo HID lights that I bought for my hunting suburban, but I've been considering replacing the Hella 1000's on the bumper with them. One set is 4" the other 7".

That's where I'm at right now. I'd really like to do all kinds of stuff to it, but I've got too many irons in the fire and luckily it was well built when I got. If you have any questions or want to see pics of something specific let me know. Thanks for looking.

So I was playing with one of the 7" HIDs. What do you all think. I have 7" and 4" (the hellas will be gone) but I only have 2 of each HIDs right now. I don't want to use different sized lights so if i go 3 wide I'll have to buy another one.

Def gonna have to paint the emblem black if I go 3 wide.

Very nice rig. I think three lights will look nice. On the other hand, that red emblem looks nice too. (Did you just spray paint it?)

Thanks, I'm def going to go with 3. I need to check some tolerances with the 4" and see if its easier to open the hood. Also, 3 lights puts one right over the winch line, but I don't think it will be an issue. As long as I don't let the line ball up directly in the center it should never touch the bolt. I'll probably trim it down a little as well just to be sure.

so basically what your are saying is that to get a sweet truck you..
have sex
then do nothing for 9 months except shop car parts and build and truck
have a son, who obviously wants a truck
and HAVE A FAMILY!
