I was preparing the wiring harness to install my new Pioneer AVH-X5100BHS and had a question about one wire. I bought a install kit that came with the dash kit and the appropriate plugs. The plug that goes to the rear speakers has an orange wire with black stripe that says DIMMER GROUND. I have already hooked up the two wire that are orange with white stripes. Do I need to hook the DIMMER GROUND wire up with the black ground wire?

I don't think you need to hook anything to the dimmer.

On my HU, the dimmer just dims the entire screen when the heads lights are turned on.

Edit: I don't have a pioneer HU, but I'm guessing its the same functionality?
