I just got back from the 2013 FJ Summit event and this was my first time on the Yankee Boy Basin Trail. It was awesome!

If you haven’t been to Ouray before, it is definitely a place to put on your bucket list.

Ouray is known as the Switzerland of the United States. Click on the link for my write up of our experience on this trail. I've included some outstanding photos as well.

Also, I'm working on a few more write ups from the event so stay tuned for those as well.

Colorado regs dictate that OHVs need to be plated if they're going to be on public roads. If this is considered a trail for motor use, then yes it's allowed. You do need a forest use sticker on it though. Available at most powersports stores.

Been there and loved it. Great to see all the beauty and old mines. Just finished a ride thru ophier pass today. The wife got a little freaked with the narrow shelf road but it just looks thinner than it actually is.

Ophir will get your attention. We did it in the pouring rain this year on our way back from running Black Bear.

Wish I was there with you.:)
I needed someone to run with. Had two others flake out on me, so was by myself.
