After months of debating on which tire to go with I have decided on the st maxx. 13 2wd dc on 18x8.5 +15 wheels. 2.75" leveling kit on the front. I'm stuck between 295/70r18's or stuffing the 305/70's under it. From dealing with jeeps it seems like the coopers always measure on the small side. Any advice?

If you don't want to cut the body mount I'd stick with the smaller tire. Might need to even then.

I would stick with the 295's.

Just looked them up. On a 8.5 rim, the 295 would be 34.25x12. The 305 would be 35.08x12.3. With a +15 offset you will need the BMC for the 305, and on the 295 you'll be close. If you are cool with doing the BMC and lots of plastic trimming then the 305s will be fine.

Thanks for that info I definitely did not want to do the bmc. I ordered the 295/70's last night

I don't believe the BMC is that big of a deal, but I'll soon know. Big tires are coming and I bought some cutoff discs for the angle grinder just in case. >

Your 295s will look great. I would have gone with that size myself, but couldn't find any tires I wanted at a good price.
