Weird noise when turning left

I got a 2011 tundra and when I turn left there is a weird metal on metal noise I hear. I don't see anything rubbing but I did notice a lot of almost grease like substance coating the back of the passenger side wheel. Any ideas what this could be.

2WD or 4WD?
How many miles on it?
Could be an outer CV joint if you have a 4x4. (hence the grease leaked from the boot)
Could be worn out brake pads. Sometimes they are loudest in turns.
Possible wheel bearing. Does it sound like an airplane trying to take off and get worse with speed? Does it get louder during lane changes in one direction or the other? (or is it only low speed left turns)

I'm assuming you have stock suspension, wheels & tires.
It is 4wd and it has 83,000 miles. It only makes the noise on slow left hand turns. Don't hear it while switching lanes. But the faster I go on turns the faster the noise sounds. Going slow it almost sounds like something is hitting as it rotates. Kinda hard to describe.
Also it is stock suspension, wheels, and tires

This sounds most like a possible bad outer CV joint from what you describe.
You haven't said if the noise was coming from the front or back. Is it the front or rear wheel that has the grease like substance on it?

Rear backing plate/possible bad wheel bearing, huh. I got me some tunnel vision there and had myself convinced it was a front tire. Hahaha!
Having the same problem 2011 tundra ext long bed 2wd. It come when turning hard right like on a clover leaf on ramp. Only when im turning right. Left front tire i think. No rubbing or grease found. Brakes? Again only when turning to the right. No straight or to left. Just started today. HELP PLEASE!

carefully inspect the rear rotor to sheet metal guard , for shiney rub spots .
IF so , rear wheel bearings are going out .
Sounds like similar sounds I was having. Around $1500 and new rear wheel bearing, and the sounds are gone! Yes, it is only $$$

$1500 for both sides , Yes ?
Looked it up at the total price was $1591. He charged me $1500 cash! Replaced both axle bearing and hub assemblies and the parking brake shoes. Something on the invoice about scanning the ECM slip code, resetting the steering angle and C1290 zero point. Parts were $800 and labor was $700. This was done in Sept 2021, so I'm sure the parts are more expensive now.
