how can i find out tire weights of different tires, i want to get tires in the spring and want to know the comparison on tire and wheel weights as to not inadvertently end up with a heavy ass set of boots!

thanks, i just had a look and that really helped make a decision,
55 lbs for a 285, 75r18 all terrain type tire across the board unless you get a 117(2800lb) load rated set of at's, and that is basically a passanger car tire.
I like the specs of the st maxx myself, nice tread depth, no ridiculous lugs sidewall protection, decent all around truck tire.
I was thinking about the wrangler duratrac but they aren't that much lighter (1.7 lbs) and they have kinda weak sidewalls and are softer rubber. The st maxx have re-inforced layers, stand up taller, and have better sidewall protection.

and im going from the factory 5 spoke to rw rims, and from the rugged ta oem tires to a st maxx (maybe), so ill lose about 6-7 lbs of rim weight and gain about 7-8 lbs of tire weight and just about and inch taller. Its almost a wash,.. and the grip and load rating will be night and day!
I think the decision is almost made!
