I have been looking around at these different tuners/programmers/re-flashers/electronic-thingies. The thread by TexasRho83 (https://www.tundratalk.net/threads/american-racing-headers-swap.763572/page-3) really impressed me, w/his gains with just a tune. Prices for tuners seem to be from around $400-$600. Which one/s come with a hand-held unit that I can plug into my truck? Or are hand-held units not producing the same gains as when a laptop is hooked up?

I am not a compute-loving guy. Please excuse any deficiencies in my computer fluency.

Thank you.

DAP uses handheld for remote tune. OV Tune currently uses windows laptop. Their handheld will be available in the future. OV Tune has data logging feature, gear lock in S mode, mildly modified transmission shifting--no gear hang in TOW/Haul mode. A bit firmer shifting in D mode. There's a huge thread on Tundras.com - OV Tune 3urfe Development thread.

Thanx for sharing. I am imagining that OV or OVT the same as Vivid Racing?
