Just thought I'd put this out there for folks thinking of trading in their trucks and looking for some comparable numbers, as I was a few weeks ago.

I traded in my white 2012 Tundra Platinum CrewMax 4x4 with RW Wheels/Tires with 13,700 miles for $39,100 this past weekend (22 June 2013) in Victorville, CA. A different brand dealer also in Victorville offered $39,600, but we couldn't come to an agreement on the price of the replacement truck.

For reference, book values are:

KBB $37,850 - $43,750
NADA $39,925 - $43,375

(13,700 miles, oversized offroad tires, moonroof, navigation, bedliner, running boards)

Lowest I was offered was $34,000 in Canoga Park, CA (greater Los Angeles area).

I only gave $40k for the same truck brand new....I'm up to 7600 miles on mine now and was wondering what they'd give me for it.

Ha I posted a thread recently about a 2012 rw DC with 24k for 32k. Everyone said it was overpriced, looks like it wasn't lol!

you did darn good on that trade in vs. what you paid can't complain about that at all.

I have been trading every 2-3 years losing only about 4 grand tops on trade in value vs. what I paid for them - can't complain about that losing 4K in 2-3 years and usually 26-32K miles of driving plus not having to add new tires costing 1 grand either since the stock OEM crappy tires they put on the tundra's only last 40K tops.
