Tundra-with-a-Cap Club!

This is a club for all the guys who have caps or hard shell tonneau covers!

I see all kinds of threads relating to caps; brands, sizes, accessories..
This could be a place to answer all those questions for the newbies.

Feel free to put your member number in your sig, once you are accepted.


-You must have a cap/hard shell tonneau cover on your truck to be a member.
-Post a pic of your cap ON your truck to prove your awesomeness.
-All colors, sizes, and ages of trucks are allowed.
-Posting your cap specs (brand, accessories, etc) will gain you extra credit.
-You must be willing to answer a question or two for newbies and vets if they come up.

---Any cap or hard shell tonneau cover owner will be accepted into the club.---
(unless i don't like you)

Future cap owners/members are encourage to ask questions to help make their
decisions even easier regarding buying and maintaining the right cap for you.

I vote TACT (but I am not in the club so I am only offering suggestion). See my post in BAMF. "Tonneau And Camper/Cap Tundra" CLUB.

I think what some here are saying is that TWAT is an offensive acronym to some. Heck there are female members here who might even take offense to it because it is a derogatory slang. How about the "Fast Untouchable Car Klub. See how fast the MOD's * the that name. Names are important. That is the first thing they tell you when you have a kid. A club is no different. Hell's Angels will always be known as a BA biker club, but no one remembers the Heaven's Teddy Bear Biker Club. Hope you all choose wisely so that you will be remembered for your ride with the top and not a beaver.

I would call you a TWAT, but you got the soft tonneau :) Maybe you can start the soft top spin off club like "Joannie Loves Chachie" J/K 2

Not forcing my views on anyone, TWAT can call themselves what ever they want. I was just trying to understand why they would want to be called TWAT's? Even the Obama Administration knew using his middle name would work against him so they kept even just the initial "H" out because Hussein is associated with a crazed dictator (negative connotation). So that is why you never saw it in the campaigns. Names do matter. Still waiting for serious reply to my original question from ewheeler. I see he has put it up to a vote for his members so it will be interesting to see if everyone wants to be called TWAT's.

EDIT: oh, and btw, the real serious reason as to what i started calling this club the T.W.A.T. club is because i thought it was generally funny. I love a play on words.. and when i stumbled upon that abbreviation i thought to myself "well, this is funny... lets see how it goes!"

I like to joke too wheeler. Glad you don't take things too serious. You could get an ulcer. BTW, when I was looking at them back in 2007-8, Toyota called it "Desert Dune Metallic" the only Mica's were the Pyrite Mica (dark brown), Timberland Mica (hunter green) and For Mica (like my countertop). Last one was not real LOL

Your right. I think I am getting the "Desert Dune Metallic" from the older gold color on the old hilux and 4runners. The Desert Sand Mica is what I remember. Just call it 4Q2 to be safe.
