A question for you guys....air bags, active suspention, what do you use in addition to wdh hitch?
I have sumo springs in the rear to help with the sag. Check out the thread on the towing/hauling page. It has lots of info and pics.

I run Firestone Airbags with a WDH. Works great. I hitch up then air up to level. Helps to smooth our the big bumps in the road. Very happy with the setup.

Posted this a few weeks ago, not sure if you saw it.....

Hi, wondering if I can join up for the tundra camping club. Have an 07 CM Limited and '12 Forrest River 27bh. We have had our camper since October last year and have already been 6-7 times here in VA. Been reading through and have already found lots of great info, thanks.

I got my Tekonsha P3 trailer brake controller today, with the #3040 Toyota OEM harness. The cable is about 2 feet long. In reading the installation instructions, it looks like it can be mounted at any angle from front to back, with the back pointing towards direction of travel, but must be level side to side. Where does everyone have theirs mounted? Pics would be appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that space in my truck is already used for this setup.

It is my switch plate from RIJon used for my FD radio, emergency lights, and inverter.

This is where I have mine, complete with detailed instructions that I followed when I did mine: Tekonsha P3 Install in Crewmax - Toyota Tundra Forums : Tundra Solutions Forum

Thanks Ken, I will put mine in the same place. One question, how easy is it to put in and out? Do I have to remove that panel to do it? Not that it's a deal breaker, just for my own info.
I never take mine out.. ;) But if you needed too, you pop that panel that it is in, which is the hardest part, then remove your two screws and unplug it from the back of the unit. If you never wanted to put it back, I would buy a spare plastic piece.

I guess the only reason I would take it out is how infrequently I would use it, and the fact that it is always on. At least, when I plugged mine in to test it, it had power and there isn't a power switch.

Correct, no power switch. Only thing that bugged me at first was the display, but after a little tweaking, I don't even notice it.

Big Red. The P3 automatically turns off after a little while. No worry about a drain on the Battery.

Thanks guys! I will try to mount it over the weekend. Displays don't bother me, between the clock, my stereo, and the LEDs from my switch bank. Having the P3 down low there I will never see it.

Bevo and Roo out at Mueller SP, CO = Awesomeness!

Going from 600' to 9,800' elevation hurts at first, but once you see the views... You forget about the pain.

Bevo got a photo op with Pike's Peak and the moon in the background, great park!

Renting a 28' Wildwood Xlite bunkhouse Travel trailer this weekend for a camping trip at the lake. There's a local RV and camper rental place that has a pretty good selection. We'll see how she tows. Found a good excuse to order some tow mirrors. Installed a p3 last fall. Now that my little man is 1.5 years old and mobile now, we'll
Probably be doing this more often. Maybe I can convince the wife to let me buy one after this weekend ;-)
