I'm trying to find a U bolt of 11", at least 1/2" thick, and with an internal diameter of 2,5"

U-bolts - are they reputable?

Can you get one made somewhere local. We have a shop that you could take those exact measurements to them and they would make it right there.

I don't know why I'm wasting my time since you won't see this and will just be a smart ass pr!ck in response, but your local spring shop will be able to bend a set to your exact specs.

I doubt it, thus why I inquired about Husky. I doubt that the shipping would be more than the sales tax in any case.

You sure about that? What's NC sales tax, 7-8%?

For S&G's, I put one of those ubolts in my cart. The ubolt was 11 bucks, shipping was almost 12 bucks :yikes: Screw that.

Not necessarily. A USPS flat rate box + tracking is less than $7. Still, if I cannot get it done locally, I would be looking at a shipping cost anyway, in which case it would be foolish to pay sales tax.

Oh, I didn't know that if you are buying a product from a vendor, that they would agree to YOUR shipping terms, i.e., they use the most economical way to ship it, instead of adding profit on top of their actual shipping costs, when they give you their "shipping" quote :dunno:
