Hey everyone. After searching my problem doesn’t seem to be super uncommon but the reaction from the dealership was. My recently purchased 2012 Tundra intermittently takes an extended period of time to start. Engine hot or cold, doesn’t matter. Sometimes it just cranks and cranks but won’t start and other times it fires right away.

Changed plugs and it’s a new air filter so I ruled that out. I took it to the dealership and they said I need a new Evap canister, fuel pump and injectors.... 😳 roughly 4K Canadian with tax. There’s 158k on the truck so this seems beyond excessive.

Filling the tank is a chore so I’m thinking the Evap canister is the next logical stop. Was wondering what y’all think?
