Hey fellas....I have another question for ya guys....I just got my 40 inch tires finally installed on the truck....my question is what would be more important to go with next running these tires??...go with the TRD upgraded brakes to handle the weight when braking:confused:...or go with the 4.88 gears to handle the weight while driving??....obviously having both would be best, but money doesnt grow on trees so i'm saving for what would be more important for the truck...thanks again guys...:D

Make wife and kids eat bread and water and get both. :D

Seriously, if you have to choose one, saftey first. Get the brakes. Besides, when you get your lights back from Rob, you won't wanna take off fast.

You will let other trucks beat you off the line so they can see your cool headlights in their rear view mirror. That's what I do :D

ahhaaha....good stuff....ya those lights are gonna look sweet when finished....but ya having those brakes would probably make more sense for safety reasons....time to start putting more money in the hidden account again....:D

4.88's would make it safer as well. I've really noticed that our trucks tend to choose the right gear a lot of the time on decel. If you had 4.88's it would make decel more efficient, and it would make your truck more fun to drive. Our brakes are already REALLY good!! best brakes I've had in a Japanese vehicle. Putting the gear ratios closer to stock would effect your everyday driving more than big brakes. just my humble opinion haha

40's = 4.88's. u will never see your 6th gear overdrive with 40's on the highway. Your factory brakes will be fine for quite sometime, they are heavy duty to begin with. I've had 33's, 35's, 37's and now 38's, not to mention 20x8.5, 20x 9.5's, 20x10's, and presenty, 20x12 wheels as well. I noticed the bigger wheel- tire kits i put on my rig, the more downshifting the truck does, Mind u, I still run my factory 4.30 gears right now- 4.88's r calling my name for my next mod- But i have to budget just like you- Big T has made me broke, lol

BTW, post up a pic of that :GIANT" or it never happened:D U obviously must be BP lifted or something
