Hey All,

Just had my new Method 312 Flat black wheels put on my 2018 Limited. The dealer said they couldn't use the factory sensors and installed aftermarket. Then I was told they were waiting on a software update from Method or someone for their machine to be able to program the sensors.

I'm not saying I don't believe them....... But......

Has anyone run into this before? Seems like a simple thing. Program this sensor to this truck. If it fits I'm not sure what the model of wheel has to do with it??

It is an 18 inch wheel same as stock and the tire is at 38 psi or its 40 psi, please help a dump pilot understand this.

Thanks

Phil

Brother, i have changed my wheels many times and I would assume that the sensors have changed in the past 10 years but I always go to discount tire and they always programmed my sensors. My last wheels came off a 2015 tundra and mines is 2008 and it works correctly. I would go that route first, or at least a tire shop. Dealers. We'll you know, what they say isn't gospel.

There is another thread going on right now with the same issue, stock sensors removed for after market wheels through Discount Tire.
