Picked her up today from having the following done. Rough County 6" lift, windows tinted, and 18x9 XD Monsters with 295-70-18 Nitto Trail Grapplers put on.

Forgive my ignorance, I am new to this. What are 4.88s?

4.88's are the gear ratio of the new ring and pinion that will make your truck feel like a stump puller even with the big tires. It will keep your tranny from hunting for gears and restore fuel economy.

My buddy Julio has a supercharged tundra with 35's. He can burn the tires from a stand still and they stay lit up until he lets off the throttle. It wasn't that way before the new gears with the 35's.

I'm not saying that you should go around roasting the tires:lol5: But that is a side benefit of having the gear ratio correct.

With the bigger tires it's as if you're driving uphill everywhere you go, with 4.88's you're back on level ground. JustDiffs (on this site) sells Nitro gears. I have a set in my 1gen. They are the smoothest set of gears I've ever installed in my Tundra I've blown up the rear end in that truck 8 times from driving it like this:

AH! Got ya! Should of know you were referring to gears lol. Wonder what that will do to my warranty?

it'll have no effect on your warranty. unless it was a problem with the differential, then the warranty would be whatever the manufacturer of the gears warranty is, Toyota would tell ya to pound sand. But with a 10.5 ring gear you won't have the issues that I've had with my 8" ring in my 1gen. These 2gens are much more stout trucks in pretty much every way possible.

Seeing your truck really makes me wanna lift my 2013 crew!!

Thanks for the info. I may ask about that tomorrow when I got get my fender flares installed tomorrow.
Dealers will be all over that 6" lift to blame for voiding warranties before the gears.

I already talked to the Service Manager at my dealer, and I am good with the lift. Aftermarket parts can't blanket void a warranty. The aftermarket part has to be the actual cause of the malfunction and they have to prove it. I was just worried if I changed gears and smoke my rear end or something if it would void the warranty for the rear end.
Looking good man. Are you doing color match flares or black?

They are just going to be the flat black for now. I am trying to decide if I want to line x them and my bumpers, plasti dip them and my bumpers, or order new bumpers and paint the em all to match.
Got the fender flares on today. She's in desperate need of a bath.

Looking awesome man. I have been wondering what that size tire looked like on a 6inch cause I have them and probably not to long going to switch to a 6 inch. Doesn't look to bad at all. Looking good man.
