Tire Questions

Just got a used set of Rock warrior wheels with 285/70/17 E rated BFG TA/KO on them. 2 of the tires look to be in pretty good shape(50%+), one ok shape(30-40%) and one is a little thin but not bald(less than 25%). I am contemplating just running them through till fall to wear them out a little more so I don't have to fork out the cash right now.

I was also thinking about replacing the 2 lesser tread tires with a new pair of matching bfg's. Any factors/problems I should consider if I were to go this route? Should I worry about how the truck will drive etc.? I would prefer not to waste the bfg's if I don't have to.

The other route I was contemplating was to just get a new set. I have to drive in some somewhat rocky terrain to launch my drift boat and want a tire that can take care of business but still be somewhat comfortable on the highway. What kind of opinions are there about these tires and which do you think would be best?(All in 285/70/17)
BFG TA KO
Goodyear Duratrac
Toyo Open Country AT2

I'd replace all four and keep the best 2 for spares

2nd that ^^
I was leaning that route, may just sell the set I have for cheap and get a new set. Struggling to decide between the BFG ta vs Toyo AT2 vs Goodyear duratracs. I like the look of the BFG the best, should I just expect them to be better off road and worse on road in comparison? They are all around the same price ~$250 per tire.
duratracs hands down. although they're soo expensive... lol

I was fighting between duratracs and nitto terra. I just couldn't pass up an $800 295/60r20 Nitto Terra brand new. it was worth the 10 hour drive :drive:
I switched from duratracs to Toyo AT2's and I like the Toyo's more! They are both great tires so if you find the right size either one would be a great buy! Good Luck
