From what I've heard Doug Thorley long tubes are the way to go. They're ceramic coated here in the US. Can the same be said about JBA? What type of metal are the JBA's made out of?
Johnny - I was looking at the ceramic coated as well. The new JBA Headers are available in group buy as well. TAP Auto Parts has presale price at $629.00 shipped. I went ahead and ordered the stainless for $499.00.

Now looking at mids from Keith or JBA - so excited!

So, when are you doing your testing? Pardon me as I'm an extreme noob to this headers game, but anything with Mexico or china scare me
I'll tell ya what, the kid who welds the OBX headers is envied by many:lol5: For a chinese knock off it's absolutely amazing how well made they are. Best headers I've ever owned hands down. And, I've had 10 sets in my hands. I personally unpack each box and inspect em before I accept them from UPS.

that said, I wouldn't worry about the quality of JBA. I've seen their R&D facility in person, top notch. I was given a grand tour and can tell you they stock tons of inventory and to me it was very high quality.

Testing will be in a week or 2:lol5:

You'll want to make sure there is either a cat or a muffler in the mid pipes, straight pipes are not only way too loud, they're a nasty raspy sound.

JohnnyRo Nice truck
You post very good concerns. Just like the Ones I frustrate keith with :D
I spend very little time at full throttle, being I dont race my 4wd at the track, so were kinda on the same page. The obx headers are good though, ive had a set in the past and had no problems. Im curious about these jba's as well and hope they fixed there fire cone issues that was present in the 1st gen tundra. I like seeing long tube options, people finally understand these 5.7's are a bada$$ motor. Im starting to compare it to a 2jz.

Good talking with you yesterday TG

JBA has two ceramic coat options. Titanium ceramic coat which has a higher operating temperature and ceramic coated which is more durable against salt and chips, etc.
