This sucks, I thought the truck would go thru it but got stuck. I have two buddies with 4 by 4s one with an fj and the other has a rapter no way I was letting the rapter pull me out. Fj came and no luck. Called a tow company and they got stuck before they even made to the truck. So now my 3 month old truck will spend the night in the field until tomorrow when the farmer can use his trackter to yank it out. Time for lift and new tires

Reminds me of when I sunk my truck to the frame at the beach and a Jeep Liberty pulled me out. It had the 5.7 hemi.. Lol good luck though man!
Youch, sorry to see that man. Yes, a nice lift and tires is due. Might not have prevented the mudhole, but it will sure make you feel better :D
Your next mod is an air boat conversion kit.

huggie, love your truck, the toyo mt are the tires i think ill go with, how have they been for you? the lift will be the BDS 4.5 with coil overs or the icon stage 5. I just need to save a little more money first.
All you needed was more speed!
And a ramp . . . :auto: ..... but that might turn out like this :mechanic:, still would make a good story and pictures

So far so good, bought em off a friend, and i believe they have about 35-40k on them and still going strong. Looking at buying them again or going with the nitto trails, basically same tire. BDS makes a hell of a lift, was going to go with the 7" but im adding a body lift and in NJ 9" is pushing max lift laws here so i went with the 6", kicking my self in the butt now knowing what i know about the BDS plus the icon shocks  oh well to late now haha. Yea takes time, but well worth the wait!!

As far as your buddy with the raptor, why is it a pavement queen? haha

Because it's a FORD.
Because it's a FORD.

:beerchug:
That was soup, not even just tires would have really helped in that, need really large tires, speed, and even then, soup just sucks you in, especially this time of year.

Hell, I was using 4x4 in my driveway about a month ago, was soup like that, looked solid, if you walked on it you would be 12 inches deep easily lol.

Good luck with the extraction tomorrow.

That's a nasty spot. Your wheels are half-way sunk. Maybe your next mod should be a winch.
He bought the raptor the week after i got my truck, I really dont think he will ever off road it. when we had a snow storm at the end of winter he drove his Audi A6 to work, when i started busting his balls he said "the car has all wheel drive" so that tells you how much he babies the craptor. Me, i say its a truck treat it like a truck.

Well I will admit our A6 is a beast in the snow! Better than our A4 manual and better than my truck in under 4-6". After that and the skid plate really takes a beating. Still, I love driving my truck in that stuff for the extra traction when stopping but quattro is an absolute beast

Nice stuck btw, power for it right. That'll be fun tomorrow haha

Take some pics of it!
i know the quatros are animals in the bad weather. hes just not really a truck guy and he bought a raptor. I just like busting on him for it. I will take pics tomorrow
