Good question. I owned a Rubicon before my Tundra. I really liked how Jeep tucked those in tight and they were very strong. I ended up just getting the brushed silver OEM step sides. I took it out in the desert and did rub some. Next time I go out I will remove them.

Subscribed, I want real rock sliders, that can bear the weight of the truck. I don't want any of those thin walled running board type steps

I installed White Knuckle sliders on a friend’s Tundra a few years ago and had to drill ten 1/2” holes in the frame.
The other 10 bolts went through existing holes.
Did they change the design since then?
