Was detailing my truck this weekend and discovered this strange crack in the finish of my driver door. Any ideas what this might be? Or what I should do - dealership, paint & body shop, etc?

Did you buy it used? It looks like somebody filled a good sized dent with a shit load of Bondo and the Bondo cracked.

Remove the interior door panel and see if it has been hit.

However, if bought used, who knows.

With deductibles reaching $1000, some people just go to shops or have buddies fix stuff, pay cash, don't have the vin recorded, etc...

That happened on the 4runner I bought years ago, turned out to have a bondo patch almost 1/4" thick...
