Hey all,

Having a weird problem that has occurred 2x in the last few months. When trying to start the truck the key gets a little stuck in the start position. When I mean a little stuck it does not spring back after starting. The truck will crank but not start. Today I even let go of the key and it just sat there trying to start (I did it for like 2-3 seconds). After a few tries it did start. Anybody had this problem? 99% of the time the truck starts and runs like a champ. Battery is good. Thanks,

Thats a problem with the ignition switch. On the '08 and newer tundras, if you turn the key to the start position and quickly release it, the engine will crank until the engine starts. Of the key is not returning to the "on" or "run" position, there is a problem with the ignition switch.

Hmm, good to go thanks for the info Mattmatt350
Going to look for replacements. Any thoughts on better aftermarket ones, if available?
