I have to fold in my mirrors to get in my garage every day. Don't have the scratch to buy the power fold mirrors or the wiring knowhow to make them work...

Borrowed the wife's yard stick, found my 3m double sided tape, and bought the hooks at Walmart. And yup, I know it looks ghetto, but I am fuking tired of getting out of the truck in the rain and snow (or sun for that matter) to fold the damn mirror.

So the project is below.

At least you didn't put a piece of carpet on the side of your garage, so you could just bump them in as you pull in, I had a buddy do that when he had a little to much to drink one day, it was funny, he had to close the driver side by hand when he got out. When his wife got home, first thing she asked was, " why is there carpet on the side of the garage?" I laughed my azz off

Lol, if you guys think this is a ******* project, you are out of your mind. Maybe if I put Nfab on the yard stick, and chrome that hook and tell you I spent $120.00 on this mind blowing peice of equipment, you would all want one.

Better than I was thinking, when I saw the road you were going down I thought for sure you were going to have a piece of rope attached to that hook and a hole drilled in the door for your rope.
Lol, great idea! I would love to hear other ideas to fold that mirror from inside the cab without the actual powerfold mirror...

Luckily, I usually only have to fold down the driver side (every time I pull in the garage) but if I frequently had to do the passenger side it would be a tough pill to swallow to upgrade to power folds. I like your solution, the little hook is hardly noticeable...unlike the rope trick.
