Wondering if I can swap 3rd gen seats to a 2nd gen? Looking to upgrade my seats to power anyway and thought 3rd gen seat would be even better. I don't think the overall layout of the cab has changed to much between the 2nd and 3rd gen. I have a double cab with the folding front middle seat.
I’m pretty sure the rear mounts are different on the 3rd gens. I’ve been doing research on putting some Recaros I had in my 4runner into my 2011 tundra and from what I’ve found 3rd gen brackets won’t work in my 2nd gen
Just found this thread and wanted to do the same thing. I want to replace my front seats with something that is built for comfort and durability. Have you guys found anything that works?
The bolt patterns are the same. I have a set of planted seat brackets for a 2104+ in my 2011. The wiring connectors and occupancy sensors for the passenger seat however may be different.
