The steering boots on my '04 Tundra are both saturated on the bottom. The fluid reservoir isn't low so I don't believe I have a leak. What could be causing this? Are these boots packed with grease? Perhaps the grease has broken down over time and is seeping through the boots? The same thing is happening with my wife's '04 Infiniti G35, but only on one side. Her reservoir is not low either.

Take a paper clip and poke a hole in the boot. If it flows out then yeah it's leaking. My 06 tundra was just like that poked a hole and it leaked. Meaning time to replace. That was in 2010 never did end up replacing it tho ha. I never had low fluid either tho.
