Same wheels but bigger?

My brother is buying a tundra tomorrow that has 20's or 22's in same wheels I already have. He would rather have my 18's so I was considering trading him, what do you guys think? The tread on his tires are equal to mine life wise.

Well is it 20 or 22s? Are you sure they are same width and offset as your 18s? If not could cause you to have rubbing issues.

The salesman didn't know for sure on size for some reason, but the lift setup is the same as mine. And I'm guessing they are 20's. not sure on offset yet.

Sounds like you are in a better position than the rest of us. Tell your brother yes, BUT only if yours don't rub. If they do, swap them back.

They are 22's +18 offset wrapped with toyo OC's what do you guys think?

Monsters rock, but I am biased

Good trade. Only thing to consider is that 22's are much more expensive to replace then 18's

I'm thinking they might be a lot louder and ride rougher than the 18's. But if you like the look better and don't mind the noise, go for it. It should handle better in the corners. But it's not a sport car either. I wouldn't do it.

And why does he want to trade? My guess would be noise/ride quality issues. And I could be way wrong.

Agree with less side wall flex so cornering will be more stable. Less tire so yes it will be rougher. As far as looks to each there own. Don't see them being any louder unless I missed that its a different tire? Toyo m/t 35x12.50R20 and 35x12.50R22 shouldn't be any louder or quieter then the other.

The only downside I see is the much higher cost of replacement tires.

He just likes 18's better is all, we can switch back anytime, or never.

I prefer the looks of the 18s myself man. THe tires look alot meaner
