I am getting my truck back tomorrow with the 4.88s and Auburn LSD installed. Did you guys have to do anything after getting yours installed? Is there anything you have to have changed in the computer or anything like that for the gears? Any lights or anything I should be expecting to be on?

Nope. Just take it easy for the next couple hundred miles. My shop recommend not to jump on it and give it time to cool down. Just got mine back yesterday and today it went back in the shop. You will love the performance of the new gear.

My guy told me 300-600 miles. I told him it will take me a year lol.

Back to the dealer today to make it run faster. ... Since i got the gears, LSD now make it faster. This weekend i will stabilize it with Sequoia front stabilizer bar and traction control bar. I will also paint my TRD to black to make it match with the rest

Oh make sure you keep on eye on it for leakage. My guy told me to pay attention to the rear dif. If i see any oil bring it back to him ASAP. Did your guy paint the rear diff for your too? When i stop by to pick up my truck i thought they replaced the whole thing lol.

Oh, make sure your guy don't use synthetic oil. Just regular petroleum base oil and no additives because they included the additives in the package.

I don't know if he painted it or not. As far as the gear oil, I just told him to use what is recommended. I didn't get any with my kit. There a reason not to use the synthetic and such? Should I call the place I got the gears and see what they recommend?

I called Auburn yesterday and they specifically said "do not use synthetic". Are you doing both gears and LSD?

Additive should comes with the Auburn according to my guy. I will check with him tomorrow AM.

Just a heads up I called and Auburns do use synthetic since they are a cone style clutch. The Eatons do not use synthetic.

Just diffs, and the diff specialist that did my gears both told me the same thing.

4.88's lower than 4.10, so what rpms are yall running at hwy speeds? Or am I missing something? {very possible}

They're both running over size tires ~35". The 4:88 ratio compensates for the oversize tires and puts them back to a comparable overall ratio to the 4:30 with stock tires.
