Sounds like my power steering pump is on its way out. I’m a repair noob. On a 2000 Tundra Limited, how hard of a repair are we talking? Would I want to do it myself, or what ballpark of a bill are we looking at if I take it to a good shop (I do have an honest one)?

I would flush and renew the fluid first myself . That would require some knowledge , hoses and a bucket .

A re man pump will not be the same quality as the OEM .
