I left my job saturday night, exiting the parking lot my suspension had a pop when the suspension compressed. it has dont this maybe 3 more times. any ideas on where to start looking? it seems only when it compresses hard. is that shocks? Thanks!

you got any lift/suspension? Still under warranty? Is it while turning or going straight?

stock suspension. it is a 2008 dc which is out of warranty. it has only happened 3 times. twice when going straight and once when turning hard left. I am going to try and look at it on my coffee break(as i work in a shop) and give it a look. one of my coworkers said could be an ice buildup(i do live in a frozen tundra...haha). Thanks!!

Could be ice breaking loose. I would just check all the hardwear on the front for tightness. Upper/lower shock mount, control arms, sway bar end links, etc.

inspected, everything looks fine. letting it melt for the day to see if it was ice. looks like a strut is leaking a bit. probably look at changing those soon.

mine is now doing the same thing........steering rack replacement here we come.

my steering rack is tight. no slop at all. it is just when the suspension compresses hard

Thank you for the help! it was ice build up apparently. we are supposed to get above freezing soon and then i wont have to worry about ice
