So I just installed a set of Black Magic 1000's and they won't turn on. I'm using a Tacoma Factory fog light switch and the parking light as the triggering wire for the switch. I know the parking light wire is working bc the taco switch has back lighting and i'm using that same wire for the back lighting of the switch. When I turn the parking lights on, the switch illuminates. I checked all the grounds and they are good.

I have the 4 pin taco switch wired up with pin 3 triggering the relay and pin 4 getting input from the parking light. Pins 1 & 2 are ground and back illumination in that order.

So here's the funny thing. With the car off and no parking lights on, if i hit the switch, i can hear the relay activate. Lights don't turn on though. If i turn the parking lights on, and trigger the switch I don't hear the relay trigger at all.

Why would the taco switch trigger the relay if no power is coming from the parking light. By the way the wire I tapped into is the purple wire off the headlight turn signal bulb which is the parking light. Please help anyone!!!!

The hella relay is your standard SPST. 30 is connected to battery positive. 87 is connected to lights. 85 ground. 86 is coming off the taco switch.

Please help!!!!

Here's the taco switch. Pin 1 is grounded. Pin 4 and Pin 2 come from the parking light (trigger wire). Pin 3 goes back to the relay, pin 86. Anyone?
