Good Morning Everyone-

I was going to blacken out my Platinum badging on my Tundra but now may take it off all together.

Has anyone done this? Is it an adhesive badge or is it screwed or fastened in?

My BMW is a combination of both so I thought I would inquire.

there held on with 3m 2 sided tape that covers the entire back side, so heat(not too much) and strong fishing line are your friend. take your time and dont rush it as these are on good.

use a hair dryer on the decal to heat it up prolly 30 45 seconds going from side to side about 3" away once its heated up put youre fising line behind it WITH gloves on and almost like youre cutting or flossing with it up and down......once you get it off you may have residue from the 3M tape I used a 3M eraser wheel to remove the tape residue and it doesnt scratch paint or anything simple process once you get going but there are a bunch of videos on how to do this on youtube and for use of the wheel very simple
