Well we had storm come through the Mississippi area last night, we were out eating and drinking, all of sudden the HAIL started for like 15 minutes. went out to see whats going on and my alarm steady going off. Didn't look like anything happen to my truck, like the cars around with busted wind shields and sunroofs and back glass. so I finished my drinks and go home, this morning I get up to look again.....WTF..... look like someone ball pinned my truck...... 7650 dollars worth of damage.
waiting on the adjuster now to adjust it to get fixed.
didn't break the sunroof, just chipped the windshield.
guess it could have been worse.

Bummer.
Hail at my moms house last night....right outside Atlanta.

And that was after it rained on it a little bit. Luckily my Moms vehicl;e was in the garage. Sisters old car was out in it but she said a few more dents are no big deal....didn't break her glass.

thats terrible man, Im sorry to hear that. I heard it was baseball size hail in some areas
Hit my truck in Atlanta as well. 20 or so smaller dents and probably 10 larger ones. Roof, hood, and all left side doors and panels. I'm pissed.

Sorry to hear about that. At least you'll get a fresh paint job out of it.
Dang that is a lot of money, sorry to hear that happened to your truck. Like some have said before me, you can finally get paint worthy of a new vehicle now!

That sucks. But you got a quote damn fast for the damage. Just happened last night and you realized the damage this morning and you already know it's $7650 worth of damage... that's quick!
That sux! Here in North Texas we have hail storms all the time and while I do not normally park my truck in the garage, you should see how fast we empty the contents of the garage into the kitchen, dining room and office when a hail storm is coming. 6 bikes, hunting/fishing gear, camping equipment..etc. I was at work for the last storm we had and my truck got beat up on the hood and roof. Fortunately the oppressively hot sun popped most of them out several weeks later. I was able to roll out the bigger dents in the hood with a heel dolly.
Just fix the glass Line-X the paint and pocket the difference.
lol thought bout that 7600 - 6000 for supercharger- 1000 trd lowering kit= live with few dents?

Ours may not be that big typically (although we got baseball sized last summer), but we get a lot of it when it does come down...

FWIW picture was taken in June...

Hell, if it is mainly the roof I would likely get a badass hood, leave the roof, line-x it, and be happy and have a lil in the bank...

Just me tho... It is always different when it is someone elses truck.

Or get a paintless dent removal guy to look at it... see if it's doable. I hate seeing crappy repaints.
I am a PDR guy here in South Carolina. I know hail damage on your vehicle is a pretty disheartening feeling. These recent storms in Atlanta and Jackson really tore up some cars from the pictures and details I have been seeing from other dent guys. The problem with the PDR business and the hail chasers is there is A LOT of hacks out there. These recent storms were only the 2nd and 3rd major hail storms of the season which leads to some problems with what kind of quality technicians flood the damaged area. They offer ridiculous percentages back to dealerships/body shops to get into the account that no reputable dent guy in the industry would give up. Unfortunately there is a chunk of these technicians and companies that do this because they are desperate for work, having blown through their money they made last year. It is very difficult for a customer to know if where they take their vehicle has quality technicians working there without knowing first hand knowledge of the PDR process and what "short cuts" hack job PDR guys take with your vehicle. If anyone that has hail damage to their vehicle has any questions or would like me to make calls to your area and find out where the good technicians are set up, do not hesitate to message me. I am more than willing to help anyone out in making sure they get their vehicle fixed right.

I have been doing PDR for 11 years and I have a long list of contacts in the hail chasing industry that I can access to help anyone out. Or if you are in The Grand Strand Area of South Carolina and have some dents you want taken care of, let me know :beerchug:
