Anyone know where the thread is that talks about replacing the plastic oil filter housing with the aluminum? I found it once using the search feature, but can't locate it again.

Not sure where the thread is, but I think that I read one time that it is the same as the filter housing for the v-6 Venza engine. The Venza has an aluminum one from the factory I think. Could be totally wrong though.
