Hi all. Just purchased a 2014 Tundra SR5 crew cab 4x4. I was between a Wrangler and a truck. I know.... very different. I'm definitely going to try for an off road look to the Tundra.
I came across the Tundra while searching for trucks and I liked the looks, the options, the towing, and the 4x4. I couldn't bring myself to pay over $30k for a wrangler. Then again, I've found some decently priced ones since I've purchased the Tundra..... of course.
All is all I like the Tundra. However, you just can't replicate the jeep feeling. That being said, I took friends and family to the beach this weekend and the Tundra was awesome. Easy to pack, spacious, could carry everything, and easy to clean the bed. I have an off-roading trip coming up this weekend. We'll see how it does!
I'm a little disappointed that I haven't been able to find many off road accessories for the Tundra. Everything seems to be custom built. That sucks for me because it is definitely the look I want to achieve. Luckily mine came with aftermarket tires, rims, some tint, and some sort of suspension change or lift. Still trying to figure out what was done to it vs a stock SR5...
I'm hoping to learn a lot on the forum. First time truck owner... It's a whole new world!
