ok, new shoes are on, Ill get some pics shortly, great looking tire.

Initial thoughts...

These are a new model from cooper this year I think.

I can't believe how smooth and quiet these are for how aggressive they look. I would say they look every bit as aggressive in person as my BFG KO2 did, which are at the most aggressive AT end before you get into the next level which is a hybrid MT/AT like the durtracs or ST Maxx.

I was not too thrilled with the BFGs after 35K miles, they were really loud, traction was degrading and I was starting to feel the tread vibration at lower speeds, kinda odd. Wearing out fast and no warranty at all made me look in another direction this time, plus I simply did not like how loud they were. Im used to AT and hybrid AT/MTs tires, have had trucks all my life so Im used to tire noise so I guess Im disappointed in the BFGs this time around.

anyway, at 41K off the BFGs came and on go the AT3 XLT.

These are shocking quiet and smooth as far as initial observations.

pics to come

Is the ride itself smoother?
I noticed a smoother ride with the KO2s than I had with the stock KOs.

Not sure if I want to wear these KO2s out or get the Coopers and then sell the KO2s.
I've only had them a year..

I love my truck and the lift/look of the 6112s, but the ride is stiff.
Maybe the Coopers would smooth it out a little..

It’s smoother for sure, really smooth and quiet.

I’m pretty impressed here initially.

That’s one thing i hope Toyota improves on the non off-road models next gen is the on road unloaded ride, mines always been kinda shitty. The roads around here suck so it’s magnified

The AT3 4S is noticeably less aggressive than the KO2 but not too bad. The thought I had driving them at first was how round they felt. I thought that sounded stupid though so I just called it smooth.

I know what you mean, the xlt are the more aggressive model but ya they feel like less rolling resistance or “ more round “ lol

Awesome 🤪

Interested in seeing the pics. I am looking to get some new tires. I have the original Michelins still on. Right now I am looking to get the Nitto Ridge Grapplers in a 285/70/18. But have been back and forth with that size and the 275/70/18.

Got about 2k on them on wife's 4Rnr.
You're right nice and quiet and pretty smooth.
So far handles well on county roads of gravel and clay also.

Enjoy your new shoes and don't forget to polish them up too...!:D

I like the look of that XLT but are they only available in an LT tire? At least that is all I could find them in. Sold my camper so don't really need the stiffer tire any more.

I am need of tires within the month. Its between the Cooper AT3 4s or the Falken Wildpeak AT.

I like that this tire comes in 285/75R18 ... almost a 35” tire but not as wide as a 295/70R18 to touch the UCA.

Damn you BB.

I probably have a couple years left on my KO2s, but the search for a smoother and quieter ride as me leaning to buying the AT3 XLTs and selling the KO2s.
You were right about the Entune, you're probably right about this as well...;)
