I?m trying to negotiate a Platinum from a dealer that has added a dual TRD exhaust and N-fab step bars. They sent me an email with their internet pricing which was about $1000 higher than other dealers within 500 miles. They came back to me stating that the exhaust and bars are the reason for the price difference. I really don?t care for the bars but like the exhaust. Any recommendations for negotiating? Looking for past experience on this one guys.

Tell them you don't want the steps and to take them off.

The exhaust is expensive, if you like it, keep it. Or have the other dealers shoot you a price including it.

I negotiated my price as a stock Platinum with sunroof and was able to get it for invoice plus tax and title.
Then I added the extras that I wanted. In my case it was the TRD Pro suspension.
I did all this two days after they went into production.
You may be able to beat them down from there by now.
