Little Saigon on El Cajon Blvd, San Diego?

Well, I wish I knew ! My compadre was on a vacation to Vietnam and I asked for some pics ~ this is one he sent along with a couple of videos as well.
I did my time in Vietnam circa 1970 kicking tires and pumping gas on the C7A Caribou but never did get so see much of the country.
Lots have changed in 50 years !

Definitely Vietnam

It says Bangkok on the sign, and baht is the Thai currency.

Must be all the cheap beers his friend had in Vietnam if he didn’t know he visited Thailand as well...

At the end of my MetalMonkey career I was one of the few employees that was not fluent in Spanish as well as English !
The guys tried to teach me a few key phrases ~ the above was one of them . . .
During my Latin enrichment period, I discovered a couple of phrases that were more useful to me: :D

(1) Una mas cervasa, por favor.

(2) ?Donde el banos?

Funny....I’m trying to understand what the two hired Russian nationals who just got their citizenship are saying behind my back at work.

For a defense contractor what’s wrong with this picture? The only word I understood unfortunately was Stolichnaya.
