I am looking at upgrading my 2012. I found a 2016 trd sr5. Im wondering how these tow and if it has a built in brake controller. My 12 has the 4.6 and no tow pakage so it struggles with my 5k camping trailer. Any advice or opinions? The 16 has the 5.7 and is fully loaded.

My '14 5.7 DC 4x4 tows our 6K lb travel trailer like a champ. I believe that all '16 5.7l Tundras are equipped with the tow package and brake controller.
