Id hate for it to be the rack to, but I just went thru that myself dealer thought it was a control arm but when they investigated further it was a blown rack due to the bushing betting wore out. why it happened ? what caused it ? no one knew.
After laying under the truck and having my wife cut the wheel back and forth, the sound is coming straight from the rack. Here is a video of the sound. It is hard to hear with the loud ass 5.7 growling, but you'll hear it. Let me know what you guys think.
