Cant get the colored panels off just below the headlights. And tips?

you get the 2 push pins off? take a flat head screw driver ( i put a little tape on the end to keep from scratching the paint) and slowly pry the plastic piece between it and the fender, it should pop, then just pull it straight out. it wont break. try to slowly pull out and use and up and down motion also to make it a little easier

open the hood, on the inside by the radiator there will be 2 blastic screw like tabs you have to remove. just pop a flathead and they will come out. the other side is connected just by tabs, so after you remove the two with a flathead, just pull and they will pop out - it takes some force but they will come out.

if they do break... then you can find some at pep-boys..
i also broke the long plastic piece that supports the other side. I just reattached them with some 3m tape...

I just did mine, about two weeks ago, I didn't have to disconnect my battery. You should be good. Good luck!

nope, you can put it in the oven with the motors.. just take off all the rubber parts.

Crap i didnt take off the rubber parts. Its already in oven hope it doesnt melt

uhh ohh.. hopefully you didnt melt them.. i took off everything that was on there.. bolt, rubber boots... just not the motors..

I did mine at 250*F with the rubber boots still on. Did not affect them at all.

Yea i watched he just made it look real easy. Its silent so you cant hear the "oh $h!t" when the clip pops out lol.


Thanks everyone for all your help. Waiting for last coat to dry so i can bake them back together. Plasti dipping the grill too.

Its worth it for sure. Dont be afraid to do it. Totally changes the look. Dont be afraid to ask questions either. Lots of knowledge around here.

How long did this process take? And what kind of epoxy did you.use to glue back?

TRD you shouldn't need any epoxy, you just reheat the housing in the oven for a few minutes & reassemble
